Final Scratch 2 Driver Mac
DO OLDER VERSIONS SUPPORT THE SCRATCH AMP OPEN FS2? Several question about Final Scratch Open Postby Jikid » Thu Apr 26, 2012 4:39 pm Hi, I'm looking for a firewire soundcard for using with turntables these days, Thanks to Pegasus for suggesting Final Scratch Open(ScratchAmp 2). Then I found a used one which costs $180 on the web. Before I spend the money, I have questions as follow: 1. Does ScratchAmp 2 work on Mac? This product is no longer supported by Staton, so driver is not available on their site. Is vinyl control available in Mixxx's Mac version?
Does ScratchAmp 2 + Serato timecode vinyl work? I know Serato timecode vinyl is recommended in Mixxx manual, I just want to confirm it if anyone has test it. Dose ScratchAmp 2 + Final Scratch timecode work?
The used ScratchAmp 2 I found does ship with Final Scratch's own timecode, I wonder if it is supported by Mixxx. Ok, that's it. Any reply would be greatly appreciated! I think it might just show up as a standard firewire audio device so may not need any drivers, but hopefully a Mac user can chime in here and say for sure.

I think it uses a BridgeCo chipset. Is vinyl control available in Mixxx's Mac version? Yes, if you download it from our web site. Does ScratchAmp 2 + Serato timecode vinyl work? Yes, the ScratchAmp is just a sound card and will pass any time code you want to use. Dose ScratchAmp 2 + Final Scratch timecode work? At the hardware level, yes, but Mixxx no longer supports FinalScratch time code.

Not sure what the NI drivers would affect when using it with Serato as it's only an audio interface, but maybe try it with a fresh driver install & see. I've used Mixx with Behringer UFO's, Mixvibes U-Mix 44, Serato SL1 & now an Electrix Ebox so it definitely supports a wide range of sound cards & there's no real reason the Stanton shouldn't work. Keep trying & I'm certain it'll work Posts: 8 Joined: Thu Apr 30, 2015 8:25 am.
