Hehehe, i'm not pretending to get the distortion of Staind with a Zoom 505 pedal. I just want a good preset made by someone that really know how do deal with this pedal, and who knows how to play with the features included to get the most out of it.

I just need the most near thing we can get. Just to process this in the computer an play with the sound and see how can i moderate this and make it a little more near to the sound of staind. Trust me, I know is a beutiful hard thing to imitate. That's why i love the distortion, is something unique. This must be Archie's gripe night but it really get's my dander up when I here people bantering about what can't be done with good equiptment. The 505 is no exception.

It has some short comings but the most of the problems come from the fact that the average user has no clue as to how to use the damned thing. Most users of 505's (505 II's and the 605's) have never gotten past the the factory presets. If you put nothing in, you get nothing out. For the money, the older 505 get's almost into guitar synth territory for a PB and J price. There are a lot of resouces on the net with patches for this stomp box and there might even be one for that 'Stain'd distortion you are looking for. I have a patchbook that I use called 'Patches Para Pedaleira Zoom 505' (I can't find the url right now but if you can read a PDF, I'll send you the book) It might help you find what you are looking for.

I do a song called 'Twisted' on a demo at my web site. The solo guitar on that song is done using a 505 direct in to the mixer. I think it sounds nice-kind of like Ernie Isley if you've ever heard him play. Check it out at. I know what you're talking about, and i've already searched all the patches for ZOOM 505. Also i've found tons of html pages where there's a complete list of groups, but nothing of staind.

I found recently a good patch for an RP-200, but nothing more. I know how to deal with this kind of pedals, i know they're horrible. But i do beleive that is not a crime ask for suggestions, to someone that knows more about distortions.

I'm not that PRo on that. There's always someone that have their tricks with low budget equipments, and that's really good to hear. I just love when someone express ideas, and sugestions. Honestly, i consider more penis, those who have the ability to defend them selves in a world where money is the problem. Sugest great equipments asuming that everyone in this world are rich, won't make us professionals. ( well that's how i think ).
