With all of this being said, if you do BRICK your device, there are ways to fix it.
Lets get started with Rooting your device. Go to and download the program. Follow the on screen instructions. The program pretty much does all of the hard work for you and roots your phone.
Now that you are rooted you are going to need to download the following files. Put both files on your EXTsd card HOW TO INSTALL SAFESTRAP 1.Requirement: Root 2.Requirement: Allow APK install from Unknown Sources 3.Download the Safestrap APK 4.Find the APK using a Filemanager tool and open it on your device, then click 'Install'. 5.(If updating from an existing Safestrap you might be warned that this will over-write the existing installation. Click the 'Yes' equivalent to this message.) 6.Once installed, open up the Safestrap application as you would any other app. 7.Agree to the disclaimer that you won't try to sue me and hunt me down with a rifle if you manage to break your phone. 8.Then use the 'Install Recovery' button. You should see the current version down in the lower left corner of the window.
And the 'Status:' should say 'Installed' when you're done. 9.From there you can reboot and you *should* see a new splash screen during the boot up. While this is showing you can enter Safestrap Recovery using the [ menu ] button. 10.That's it for Safestrap install Now you should be looking at your new recovery via Safestrap and your Stock Rom Slot should be enabled.
How to Install SHOstock on the Stock Rom Slot 1.)Click install (Once your booted into Safestrap's Recovery) 2.)Find the SHOstock file that you downloaded and select it. 3.)Swipe to install 4.)The installation does take a while.
Once it’s complete, restart the phone. 5.)Let the phone sit for about 5 minutes before you start doing anything with it.
This form of installation is considered a Dirty install, but a dirty install is the only way this will work otherwise you will brick your device. Only a very select few will work with CyanogenMod I was still on 4.2 before doing the GooManager. AT&T had pushed an update that may have updated it past that, and fucked the bootloader, but I nipped that shit in the bud. I'm able to use TWRP to do recovery and make/restore nandroids. I didn't want to let my shit get locked.
