Wiimmfi Patcher For MKWii see: Here you find a patcher for Linux and Windows. This patcher is a generic Wii image patcher. It exchange 'https' by 'http' and the domain 'nintendowifi.net' by 'wiimmfi.de'. This is necessary to support the new Wiimmfi server. The thread will call the games. The patcher does: * Patch a Wii image while copying it.
* Patch sys/main.dol and files/rel/StaticR.rel (if exists) * It replace 'https' by 'http' * It replace 'nintendowifi.net' by 'wiimmfi.de' (the new domain system for our server). * Following parts of the string are moved to the left to protect the URLs. Here you find the patcher and instructions: * Download: (7z, 2.3MB) * Download: (7z, 2.8MB, with Mac support) * * You can find all Wiimmfi patchers here: * 2018-08-10: Update to v4 * Domain 'sake.gamespy.com' is replaced by wiimmfi.de too. It's for playing on Wiimm's custom server and to test more games than just MKWii with it - meaning you should try out if patching even works or if it breaks the game. And in case it works, does connecting to the WFC in the game work. Wiimm has already tested Animal Crossing and afaik he was able to visit other towns (?) using his own custom server - although he only tested it in his own local network. So when patching MKWii to play it on the custom server, this should already work fine but there will most likely be some new patches and adjustments being implemented in later versions to further improve the whole process and also to add game specific patches like custom texts, error codes, functionalities and such. So do neither think of this tool nor of your patched images as final solutions or results.
If you're not going to test out other games than MKWii, you better wait for an update. (That's what I'd assume at least.). The patcher is made to test, if the new server will support other Wii games than Mario Kart Wii. The thread will call the games.
For DS games, another solution using a DNS server is needed. I have to create a new DNS server for the tests to avoid influences to Wii games, that will still connect to Nintendo.
Some problems: The product server (the one you will use) use some older PHP interpreter as my test server (development) and a system update didn't help. And I will not manually exchange the php installation for a running server (takes medium time, if it works, takes much more time if not). And so the product server has thrown some error message and I must change the code and test it with the tester team.
